THE INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF MUSICAL THEATRE, LONDON / 2021

Directed graduating year students in 20th / 21st century scenes and duologues performance project.

THE BRIGHTON ACADEMY / 2016-PRESENT

Course Tutor / Director of Foundation, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year acting students. Presentations include Salomé, The Signalman, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, The Selfish Giant and The  Importance of Being Earnest. Also, duologues and scenes from Shakespeare, Restoration and ‘Kitchen Sink’ drama including historical context classes. Shakespeare and 19th century monologues and devised pieces with 3rd Year students. Text, voice, audio and audition  technique workshops.

ACADEMY OF CREATIVE TRAINING, BRIGHTON / 2017-PRESENT (and 2004)

Course Tutor and director of small and large scale productions for Foundation, 1st and 2nd Year students including The Birthday Party, Loveplay, Road, After Liverpool, Scenes from Pinter and Scenes from Willy Russell and John Godber. Course Leader for Introduction to Playwriting, culminating in direction of public rehearsed readings. Regular text sessions on twentieth century drama and workshops on Wilde, Coward, Rattigan and Pinter.

BEDFORD MODERN SCHOOL / 2004-2017

Head of Speech and Drama Department / full-time (LAMDA Syllabus). Approximately 260 students from Years 3-13 taught on a weekly basis. Preparation for Speaking Verse and Prose, Acting, Speaking in Public, Reading for Performance, Musical Theatre and PCertLAM examinations. Directed two thirty-minute Shakespeare plays with students from Years 8-10. Four new play commissions from the school, directing three of them. Drama school entry audition workshops.

BRIGHTON COLLEGE / 1992-2017

Scriptwriting workshops, theatre history talks and solo performances / dramatic readings.
